Srinagar, May 20: Jammu and Kashmir reported six new covid-19 cases while there was no death due to the pathogen in the last 24 hours, officials said on Friday.

They said that the two of the cases were reported from Jammu and four from Srinagar districts, taking the overall tally to 454176—166415 in Jammu and 287761 in Kashmir.

There was also no death due to the pathogen reported in the last 24 hours, they said. So far 4752 persons have succumbed to the virus—2328 in Jammu and 2424 in Kashmir.

Besides, they said, 13 Covid-19 patients recovered during the last 24 hours and include 11 from Jammu division and two from Kashmir. So far 449377 people have recovered, leaving the active case tally at 47— 32 in Jammu and 15 in Kashmir.

The officials said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 51 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said. They also informed that 14000 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
