Baramulla: Four sheep died after a power line fell on ground in Palhallan area of North Kashmirs Baramulla district on Thursday. Protesting shepherds blocked Srinagar Baramulla highway, demanding compensation from PDD department.

Locals claimed that they called PDD employees when the power line snapped and fell down.

“It happened in the wee hours and a stray dog also died,” they said.

” They did not bother to come and lead to death of animals, ” said one of the protester.

“Around 9 in the morning we took 200 sheep to national highway. We want to be compensated for losses incurred due to callous approach of PDD,” he said.
