Don’t allow Agricultural land fragmentation: DC Budgam to officers

BUDGAM, JANUARY 31: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza, who is also the chairman of District Level Committee today chaired a meeting on Jammu and Kashmir Agriculture Land conversion for non-Agricultural purposes, regulation-2022, at Conference Hall, here.

On the occasion, the DC instructed the concerned officers not to allow fragmentation of Agriculture land or any illegal conversion of Agricultural land to non- Agricultural purposes, affecting Agricultural production in the district.

At the outset, Tehsildar Headquarter, deliberated on change of land use application through a powerpoint presentation and briefed members on providing services to the public through online mode.

The DC directed concerned members to ensure timely issuance of NOCs to the applicants after proper verification of documents and rules under land conversion.

He instructed concerned officers to issue IDs and Passwords to all the members for time bound delivery of NOCs to the applicants by the concerned offices.

The DC said that any violation of land shall be reported by Chief Agriculture Officers to concerned ACR, SDM or Tehsildar.

He said through the change of land use application, the applicants shall get permissions or NOCs on fast-track basis and it would ensure prompt public delivery services from the government offices.
