Kulgam: People in thousands have reached the native villages to attend the funeral prayers of two militants killed in the early morning gunfight between militants and government forces at Khudwani area in Kulgam on Monday.
Dawood Ahmad Illahi of Hawora Kulgam and Sayar Ahmad Wani of Wanpora Kulgam were killed while an OGW of militants identified as Arif Sofi was arrested during the gunfight, police said.
Gunfight between Government forces and militants erupted after a cordon and search operation was launched following inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
