Vehicles purchased outside J&K sans re-registration to be seized : Police

Srinagar, March 28: Jammu & Kashmir Police on Sunday issued an appeal to general public to go for re-registration process of the vehicles purchased from outside J&K with local ARTO immediately, failing which shall result in the seizure of vehicle.

General public is appealed to follow the public notice issued by the concerned competent authorities (ARTO’s) and complete re-registration process at an earliest.

Meanwhile, Police in Budgam and Kulgam have seized 137 vehicles under MV Act for lack of proper documents.

“General public is requested to cooperate with Police and follow the MV Acts/guidelines otherwise violators will be dealt strictly under law,” a police spokesman said.
