Srinagar, March 28: Two civilians suffered minor injuries in a grenade explosion in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Sunday, official said.
They said suspected militants lobbed a grenade towards a banker of 96 battalion CRPF in Sangam Chowk area of the district. However, the device missed the target and exploded on the road, causing minor injuries to two pedestrians. The injured were shifted to sub district hospital Bijbhera.
Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Dr B S Tulla said that two civilians Abdul Hamid Mir of Rakh Litter and Mohammad Arif of Sangam were admitted to the hospital with minor injuries.
A police official said that a case has been registered while as whole area was cordoned off immediate to nab the militants, they said. When this report was filed, no arrest has been made.
