Srinagar: Castigating the anti-Islam elements, Islamic Fraternity has cautioned Muslims that a malicious campaign has been launched against Islamic scholars and leaders to defame them and discredit their contributions towards the Islam.
Referring to the fake viral audio clip attributed to the Moulana Mushtaq Ahmad Veeri sahib, President Islamic Fraternity, Muhammad Aamir said that such acts are planned by anti-Islam elements to assassinate the character of popular leaders and create rift among the Muslims.
“The history is full of such evil acts. Our leaders and scholars became victims of this malicious propaganda and were either abandoned by people or were killed. But the most unfortunate thing was that people fell to this propaganda and indirectly became part of these evil acts,” Aamir said.
Citing the verses of holy Quran, Aamir said, on number of occasions have Almighty Allah warned us that we shouldn’t accept anything told to us by others without verifying it from the source or genuine people.
“This propaganda is planned by anti-Islam elements but they use some of us who’ve ambitions of wealth, power and status, and execute these evil plans. We can dismantle such evil plans provided, we remain vigilant and steadfast to Imaan,” he said.
Calling the journalists as ambassadors of people, he said that the journalists’ have this big responsibility on their shoulders of pursuing the truth and disseminating it to the public in its original form so as to stop these nefarious designs.
“Journalists are our eyes and ears. The moment they come across any such propaganda, they should immediately work on it to uncover it before it escalates and eats up and good section of the society,” he said.
Aamir also appealed individuals, groups, organizations and others to cooperate with the media persons whenever they advocate for a good cause or are on a mission to dismantle the propaganda.
