Rafiabad: Forest department on Monday said that it has seized a truck carrying  illicit timber in Feroozpora Achabal  area of Rafiabad in Baramulla district.
Officials said  During naka at Ferozpora-Achbal during intervening night of 16 and 17 June at about 1 am a tipper loaded with illicit timber was intercepted.
The driver and his associate, they said, managed to escape from the spot under the garb of darkness.
“Tipper was loaded with Deodar sawn green timber 20No.=79.56Cfts,” he said.
