Srinagar: Two months elapsed since the cases pertaining to disbursement of payment regarding GP fund pile up due to the non-availability of funds.

The employees working in different departments here have expressed resentment against the government for failing to disburse the amount, alleging it to be a reason of immense hardships.

Employees said that cases are pending from April 10 here, thus leaving the employees to lurch at large.

“The marriage ceremony of my daughter is scheduled to be held by the end of this month and I have applied for the GP fund before April but unfortunately after completing every procedure, the amount has not been released so far,” Ali Muhammad, an employee told The INS.

He said there are several employees in his department who have applied for the GP fund for many causes including the treatment of their beloved ones but the lack of funds have resulted in immense hardships to them.

They demanded government to disburse the amount at an earliest so that they could heave a sigh of relief.

However, a top official told The INS that the lack of funds has delayed the disbursement process. “As soon as the funds will be available, the amount will be disbursed,” he added.
