Water in Ravi, Tawi canals to be released on April 14

JAMMU: Superintending Engineer (SE), Ravi and Tawi Construction Circle has informed the general public, particularly farmers, that the water in the Ravi and Tawi Canals will be released from 14th April.

He has also directed the concerned Executive Engineers of the Ravi Tawi Irrigation Complex to ensure completion of ongoing work well before the release of water in the canals.

In a communiqué, he has also asked them to ensure that the water reaches up to the tail end and there is no loss of life and property on the scheduled date of opening of canals.
