Electioneering for Jammu, Baramulla Lok Sabha seats ends tomorrow

Jammu: The electioneering for first phase of the election for two seat of state—Jammu and Baramulla—ends at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
According to election commission, the polling shall be held on April 11 in all the polling stations of the constituencies from 7.00 am to 6.00 pm. “The campaigning period in respect of both Jammu and Baramulla constituency is closed on 09-04-2019 at 6.00 pm i.e before the period of 48 hours ending the hour fixed or conclusion of poll.”
As such no campaigning is allowed in the whole constituencies after this time, the EC said.
All political functionaries, party functionaries who have come from outside the constituency for campaigning and who are not voters of the constituency have to vacate the constituency immediately after the campaign is over, as to provide the conducive atmosphere for free and fair poll. In case of any violation, one can lodge complaint at Toll free Not 1950 or can also register his/her complaints on mobile app “cvigil”, it added.
