NIA summon to Mirwaiz: MMU calls for shutdown on Saturday, protest after Friday prayers

Srinagar: Muttahid-e-Masjlis Ulema on Tuesday appealed people to observe complete shutdown on Saturday to protest the summoning of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq by National Investigation Agency (NIA) and ban on Jamaat-e-Islami.

While addressing a press conference, Grand Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam appealed people to observe complete shutdown on Saturday to protest against the moves.

He also appealed people to stage protest against the moves after Friday congregational prayers.
