Pulwama: A leopard sighted in Sonthbook village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district created panic among villagers on Sunday.
Reports said that after some people saw the leopard in the village, announcements were made on public address systems, urging locals not to venture out of their homes.
Some locals, they said, tried to chase away the leopard and in the process the animal took shelter near a tree. The locals, they said, called wildlife department Pulwama and the officials reached the spot to capture it.
