30 Teachers including whole staff of 6 institutes suspended for poor performance in 10th standard exams

Anantnag: Taking strict action against the poor results of class 10th in Government Schools, the chief education officer (CEO) Anantnag has suspended at least 30 teachers including full staff and headmasters of 6 Government schools in Anantnag for poor results in the class 10 examination, results of which were declared in December last year.

 

The suspension order was issued on Tuesday, following directions from the director school education Kashmir (DSEK) G N Itoo.

 

Staff include Headmasters of government schools HS Chowgam, HS Sethar, HS Gawran, HS Chree, HS Poru Kalnag, HSS Hiller have been suspended over zero percent pass percentage in the class 10th exams.

According to the order issued by Chief Education Officer Anantnag revealed that Suspension of all teaching staff including Head of the institution (HOI) of schools figuring in annexure A who have recorded zero present pass percentage.

 

The order said that suspension teaching staff listed in annexure B for recording below 20 % results to their respective subjects and stoppage of periodical increment in respect of the teachers listed in the annexure C who have recorded below 50% results in their respective subjects.

 

However order also revealed that the staff members who have been suspended should be deployed for the remedial classes for the students. All arrangements on account of remedial classes are to be made by poor performing teaching staff of the schools,” the order reads.
