Govt constitutes Heritage Conservation and Preservation Authority

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Thursday constituted the Jammu and Kashmir Heritage Conservation and Preservation Authority.
The authority has been constituted in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 7 of the Jammu and Kashmir Heritage (Conservation and Preservation ) Act, 2010 read with rule 3 of the Jammu and Kashmir Heritage (Conservation and Preservation) Rules, 2011, a government order said.
The Non-Official & Co-opted Members of the Authority include Dr. Chander Mohan Seth, Retd. Chairman JKPCB/ Reputed Environmentalist; Mr. S.K.A Qadri, Retd. DG Archives, A&M; Abdul Qayoom Refiqui, Ex-HOD History, Kashmir University and Convener, INTACH, J&K Chapter. The co-opted member include Phonsok Tsering, Allumni National School of Drama.
