Gunfight rages in Sopore village, internet snapped

Srinagar: A gunfight started between militants and government forces in Brath Village of Sopore in north Baramulla district on Wednesday night.
Officials said a joint team of army, police and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation and installed lights. As the joint team zeroed in on a suspected house, they said, militants opened fire which was retaliated, triggering off a gunfight. The firefight was going on when reports last came in. The details could not be independently verified. Meanwhile, internet has been suspended in Sopore .
