Pulwama : Jammu & Kashmir Cements Employees Association, protested in Pampore on Friday, and were demanding their pending salaries and other funds.
The protesting employees protested inside the JK Cement factory in Khrew area of Pampore with slogans against authorities for failing to provide them with salaries.
They said that their “five months” salary has not been released besides CP funds were “not deposited” from more than three years.
The protesters further said that they are already taking salary less by 38% DA, and added that market rates are shooting up due to which their “salary is not meeting the market requirement”
“Five months salary of employees has not been released which is open injustice. The salaries are already short with 38% DA, which is the matter of serious concern,” Abdul Majeed, president J&K Cements Employees association said.
The employees while chanting slogans requested higher authorities particularly to the Governer of the state to look into the matter as soon as possible
