Bandipora: Government forces on Wednesday launched a cordon-and-search operation in Hajin town in this North Kashmir district.
Sources said that Army’s 13RR, police’s SOG and 45 battalion CRPF laid the siege in Syed Mohalla of Hajin town after receiving “inputs about the presence of militants” in the area.
Sources said that a large number of troops have been deployed in the area and door to door search operation has been started in the area.
A search operation was underway when this report was filed. More details are awaited.
