Shutdown over militants killing in Budgam parts, Pampore township

Srinagar: A complete shutown is being observed in several parts of Budgam district on Friday where on Thursday two militants were killed in a gunfight.

Witnesses said that all shops and business establishments in major towns of the district are shut. Rwpkrts of shutdown were received from Khansahab, Khag, Aripanthan, Beerwah, Poshker and Arizal areas.

Pertinently one of the two slain militants killed in Zagoo area of the district was a resident of Khansahab. He was identified as Mukhtar Ahmad.

Meanwhile, similar reports of complete shutdown were received from Pampore township of southern Kashmirs Pulwama district.

The other militant slain in Zagoo gunfight on Thursday was ide identified as Mohammad Amin Mir, resident of Drangbal Pampore.

All shops and business establishments and educational institutions are closed in Pampore town, eyewitness said.
