Pattan: A woman died on spot while another person sustained injuries after a speeding four-wheeler hit them at Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday.

According to reports, a Santro car, on its way to Baramulla, hit woman and another person near Hajiwere, resulting into on spot death of woman identified as Rubeena Begum wife of Abdul Majeed, a local resident. The other person identified as Bashir Ahmad  Sofi resident of Chattabal Srinagar  sustained serious injuries in the mishap and has been rushed to local hospital where the doctors referred him to Srinagar for advance treatment.
