SC to not hear fresh plea challenging Article 35 A today

Srinagar: Following adjournment request by the petitioner the Supreme Court did  not taken up a fresh plea challenging vires of Article-35A today.

According to sources the fresh petition listed for hearing today was dropped  petitioner Ashewani Upadhyay, pleaded for adjournment.
“It was listed today for admission,” he said.

The main petition seeking abrogation of Article-35A  filed by a Delhi-based NGO “We the Citizens” will be heard on August 31 by the apex court.
