Srinagar: Governor N N Vohra on Monday observed that the Governing Body of SKIMS shall take decisions for advancing the growth and development of both SKIMS Hospital and SKIMS Deemed University. He also urged the Doctors to develop their initiative at par with the institutions of National Excellence, like AIIMS New Delhi, an official spokesperson said in a statement issued after a four-member delegation of the Executive Council of Faculty Forum of Sher-I-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) led by Professor Sameer H Naqash met  him at the Raj Bhavan today. “The Forum briefed the Governor about various demands relating to the upgradation of Research, Academic and  Faculty; programmes required to be implemented in the interest of patient care and institutional development; and need for restoring SKIMS’s autonomy.”
