Kulgam: One civilian was killed and some critically injured during clashes at Hawoora area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Hospital Sources confirmed that Shakir Ahmed Khanday S/o Mohammed Hussain Khanday who had been injured in firing breathed his last.
Government Forces entered the area to lay a siege around the Hawoora area.
However youth in large numbers came out on the streets and hurled stone on the vehicles of Government Forces who responded with massive tear smoke shelling.
As per reports, one youth has been critically wounded during the ongoing clashes which erupted half an hour ago.
Police officials told that it was a normal search operation when some youth came out on the streets and tried to disrupt the operation.
