Militants appear in civilian funeral in Kulgam

Srinagar: Militants appeared in the funeral of three slain civilians including a teen age girl who were allegedly killed in Army firing in Redwani area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Saturday.

They were identified as Shakir Ahmad Khanday (22), Irshad Ahmad (20) and a girl Andleeba (16), all residents of Hawoora, Redwani.

According to locals the trio were killed after Army soldiers opened firing on protesters during clashes in the village.

They added that a group of militants also appeared on the scene who offered gun salute to the slain civilians by firing many shots in air.
