“There is not any such curriculum prescribed by the government for KG classes so that they can excel in their future education, but whatever they are taught is something what their teachers decide to impart them on their own will,” a government teacher pleadeding anonymity confided to INS.

Comparing the curriculum between government and private run educational institutions, government schools have its long-ago set curriculum that too begins from class first, where the private run schools have it from kindergarten that is being revised from time to time.

Some school teachers, and educationist believe that there is a gap between government and private schoolchildren.

A teacher claimed that the apathy shown by allied authorities towards framing up the syllabus of kindergarten students compels these nursery children to learn those lessons in class first what they must have learnt in their kindergarten classes.

“There is no admission procedure for kindergarten in government school which itself depicts that the parents are compelled to enroll their kids in private for nursery, LKG and UKG,” a group of teachers said.

“How would they prefer to pull them back from private institutions after three years.”

When contacted CEO Budgam Rouf Ahmad Shahmari, he said  that, there is already a curriculum for kindergarten not in way of teaching through books but the concerned teachers are trained how to ‘tackle’ these kindergarten kids.

“Kindergarten is actually early child care that means we have to tackle them emotionally in a play way method not by way of books. We have proficient staff members who train the concerned teachers how to impart education to these kids in a play way method,” Shahmari stated.

According to him this year 10 schools under (Serva Shiksha Abhiyan) SSA and 5 schools under state plan have been launched as sanctioned kindergarten schools in every districts and a new set of curriculum will be established for future.
