Srinagar: The state of Jammu and Kashmir is officially under Governors rule as President Ram Nath Kovind on Wednesday morning approved its imposition in the state.

The development came a day after the BJP announced its decision to pull out of the alliance with Mehbooba Mufti’s PDP in the state.

With the President’s directive, the reins of Jammu and Kashmir are now back in the hands of Governor NN Vohra who will be running the state for the fourth time.

Vohra after concluding his consultations with all major political parties, Governor Vohra had forwarded his report to the President of India for imposition of Governor’s Rule under Section 92 of the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir.
