Srinagar, May 14:Shopian police solved a murder case of a 70 year old man and arrested three accused persons involved in the crime.

The police in its handout said that on 13th of May 2018, Police Post Imamsahib received a written complaint from one person namely Maqbool Bhat resident of Handew Shopian, wherein it was stated that his father namely Gh Mohammad Bhat, about 70 years old has been ruthlessly beaten by the accused persons in his house over some property dispute, resulting in injuries to him. The injured was referred to SMHS Hospital from DH Shopian, where he succumbed to his injuries.

After registration of case FIR number 153/2018, Shopian Police took swift action and arrested three accused persons namely Yaseen Bhat son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, Adil Bhat son of Yaseen Bhat and Irfan Bhat son of Yaseen Bhat, all residents of Handew village.

Initial investigations reveal that the prime motive behind murder was property dispute. Further investigation of the case is going on.
