Grievance Cell redressed maximum grievances in shortest possible time: Police

Srinagar, April 18: Since Grievance Cell was put in place in November 2015 to March 2018, 4644 complaints, grievances were received, out of which 3729 were redressed through the concerned quarters, police said on Wednesday.

According to Police spokesman these complaints, grievances were pertaining to PDD, PHE, FS&CA, SMC, Health, Fire & Emergency, Forest, Mechanical Engineering Department, Education, Revenue, Wildlife Department etc.

“Grievance Cell which has been put in place at PCR Kashmir in November 2015 is a robust public redressal mechanism where public complaints are looked into and redressed in a time bound manner,” police spokesman said in a statement issued to press here.

According to police the GC is aimed at providing the citizens with a platform for the redressal of their grievances. “It primarily covers the receipt and processing of complaints from citizens and to ascertain the status of redressal of their grievance and to take further necessary action,” it said.

The statement also reads: General public is again informed to register their complaints/grievances at Grievance Cell of PCR Kashmir on the numbers:- 0194-2506508, 9596201110 or Dial 100.
