Shopian: The Annual Urs of renowned Sufi Saint Hazrat Syed Bahu-ud-din Gunj Bakhash Simnani (RA) was celebrated with devotion and religious fervour at Arhama in Shopian district.
A large number people including women and children thronged the shrine of the Sufi saint and offered prayers there.
The Urs commenced with the recitation of Holy Quran, salutations supplications and sermons followed by night-long prayers.
Ulemas and Imams threw light on the life, religious services, teachings and spiritual strength of the saint who had devoted his life to the preaching of Islam.
They said that Islam teaches the lesson of humanity and compassion and stressed upon devotees to work for the welfare of humanity and follow the teachings of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
