Anantnag: Protests have erupted in various areas of south Kashmir and spontaneous shutdown too is being reported from various locations including localities of slain people on Thursday.

Locals told INS that stone pelting incidents occured and protesting youth clashed with Government forces at hiller, hangalgund area of kokernag, and Lal chowk area of main town Islamabad.

Stones pelting incident was reported from Tral as well resulting in complete shutdown in the area.
Eyewitnesses said that stone pelting and clashes between police and protesters erupted in Bus stand and old market areas.
Complete shutdown  is being observed in  parts of district of Pulwama too, and authorities yesterday announced that Schoolsin shopian and pulwama districts to remain closed

Kulgam also is observing shutdown for fifth day and reports from the district say that some youth have been arrested During nocturnal raids.

Vehicular movement remain thin, while train services to south Kashmir has been resumed after remaining suspended for four days.

Kashmir valley has been rattled after 20 people were killed in three anti militancy operation in south kashmir’s twin districts of Shopian and Islamabad.

Among the killed 13 are militants, four civilians and three army personnel.

One boy was seriously injured in central kashmir’s Ganderbal district, who identified as Gowhar Ahmad, later succumbed. Inquiry has been launched into his death and one police man has been suspended over Prima facia involvement.
