PSA on Langate youth: MLA Rasheed detained, starts hunger strike in PS Handwara

Kupwara: Police on Wednesday detained the Awami Itihad Party (AIP) president and MLA Langate Er Rashid while he was on way to DC Office, Kupwara to start an indefinite hunger strike.
Police intercepted Rasheed at Kargam and took him to Handwara Police Station.
Party spokesperson told INS that Er Rasheed was scheduled to start indefinite hunger strike outside the DC Office, Kupwara against the continuous slapping of PSA on youth of his constituency.
The spokesperson said Er Rasheed has started indefinite hunger strike in Handwara Police Station.
On the request of MLA, people in Langate and Handwara are giving donations to provide financial assistance to the families of the persons booked under PSA.
