Road Accidents: one dead another injured

Srinagar:  A girl died while another person was injured in two separate road accidents in Kulgam and Srinagar on Monday, police said.

“In Kulgam, an unknown Tractor hit and injured a pedestrian namely Iqra Jan daughter of Abdul Hamid Bhat resident of Kilam at Kilam in the jurisdiction of Police Station Devsar,” police spokesman said.

The injured was shifted to Public Health Center Kilam where ‘she succumbed to her injuries’.

The statement said that after completion of medico legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to her next of kins for last rites.

In Srinagar, a Sumo bearing registration number JK01G/6617 and an Auto Load Carrier bearing registration number JK01V/0372 collided at Lower T-Crossing in the jurisdiction of Police Station Nishat, resulting in injuries to Auto driver namely Tariq Ahmad Saloo resident of Nowhatta Srinagar. The injured was shifted to SMHS Hospital for treatment.

Srinagar police has registered a case in both the matters.
