Sopore: Ghalib Guru on Friday said the resistance leadership should “seriously” pursue the case of bringing back the mortal remains of his father Muhammad Afzal Guru, who was hanged in Delhi’s Tihar Jail in 2013 and buried inside its premises.
At a programme organised by Shabir Shah-led Democratic Freedom Party at Sopore on Afzal Guru’s fifth death anniversary; Ghalib said, “Five years have passed and I am waiting for the mortal remains of my father. It seems Hurriyat leaders have forgotten everything about him.”
“I have nothing new to say, let our (resistance) leaders be serious about my father and realise what he did for this nation,” Ghalib told INS.
“The Azadi leaders should seriously pursue the case of bringing back the mortal remains of my father,” the teenage boy added.
