Driver killed as truck carrying chickens plunges into gorge in Ramban

Srinagar: Driver of a truck, carrying cages of chickens, was killed in an accident on Srinagar-Jammu highway in Ramban district on Sunday.
Official sources told INS said that the truck (PB-06AK-2226) rolled down into a gorge near Chamalwas area of the mountainous district, killing the driver Ramesh Kumar of Bawana Pathankot Punjab, on the spot. Sources said most of the chickens in the goods vehicle were also crushed to death. SSP Ramban Mohan Lal confirmed that incident to INS.
