Muzamil Shah
Srinagar: Medical Employee’s Federation on Thursday demanded inclusion of staff working on Hospital development fund (HDF) under SRO-520.
The MEF held a meeting in Chest Disease Hospital here in Srinagar which was headed by Chairman Shabir Ahmed Langoo.
Addressing media later, Langoo said: “The exclusion of staff working on Hospital Development Fund (HDF) and those working on the local fund from SRO-520 is total injustice with these employees. We appeal government to have a look into SRO-520 for these HDF employees.”
He said there are over three thousand employees working in the state on HDF and all these employees will reach Jammu on January 10 to raise their voice against government’s decision.
These employees, he said, are working in the hospitals from last fifteen to seventeen years and are doing work on very less wages. “Those employees working on local fund have worked in those situations in which permanent employees have not worked,” Langoo said.
