‘Flight ops at Srinagar airport to resume with immediate effect’

Srinagar: The opposition parties on Tuesday staged walkout from the state legislative assembly and boycotted the address of Governor N N Vohra by raising anti-government slogans.
As soon as Governor started his address to the joint session of the legislature, the National Conference (NC), Congress and others staged walkout and raised anti-government slogans.
They held placards against alleged human rights violations, civilian killings and government’s recently ordered social media gag on its employees.
The independent MLA from Langate Er Rasheed also raised similar slogans and demanded plebiscite in Jammu Kashmir. He said New Delhi has not fulfilled promises made to the people of the state.
Rasheed also denounced government’s decision of conducting Panchayat elections “in absence of inadequate powers and non-conducive atmosphere”.
The opposition continued disrupting Governor’s address.
