Snow fall Ratta Chamb morh to Pir Ki Gali on Mughal road, heavy snowfall on Razdan top and in Gurez valley closed the Bandipora-Gurez road.

“The Srinagar-Jammu highway is open but other roads have been closed after snowfall,” traffic police officials told INS.

The officials said that as a result of occurring of landslides from time to time, the width of the NHW at different places between Udhampur and Banihal is narrow and as such allowing two-way movement of all sort of traffic on the NHW is not feasible.

“No movement of Load Carriers and convoys of Army, BSF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB etc. is  being allowed from Jammu towards Srinagar side under any circumstances in order to ensure hassle free movement of traffic on the NHW,” officials added.
