Ganderbal: A policeman who was injured in a road accident recently has succumbed to wounds at Sher- e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences Soura here on Wednesday.

The cop has been identified as Mohammad Aslam Pakhtoon son of Abdul Rahim Pakhtoon of Waniarm Wangat Kangan. He was 42.

Pakhtoon was a selection grade constable of 8th BN IRP and was posted as PSO at the Srinagar residence of National Conference leader Ali Mohammad Sagar.

Police officials said that  he was on way to his duty in his personal Alto car (JK01L-4074), which skidded off the road and turned turtle near power house Ganderbal, resulting in critical injuries to him.
