Bandipora: An Army patrol party was stone pelted at Parray mohalla of Hajin in Bandipora district on Wednesday, after which forces, according to reports went ‘berserk’ and ‘damaged property’. In the ensuing clashes five people have been injured including one with gun shot.

“One youth, identifeid as Nayeem Ahmad Mir, recieved a bullet injury in his left ankle. Four others with pellet gun injury too were brought to Community Health Centre Hajin,” reports qouting local sources and a doctor said.

Clashes erupted in the area between protesters and forces, who used tear gas to disperse the angry population.

The youth with bullet injury has been shifted to Bone and joint hospital barzulla.
Locals have alleged that 13 bn of Army went berserk in the Parrey Mohalla, Bon Mohalla and Khos Mohalla localities of Hajin.

Unconfirmed reports say that Army set afire dozens of hay stacks and beat up some locals.
