Sopore November 28:  Employees engaged under Hospital Development Fund in Sub District Hospital Sopore, Tuesday, staged protest demonstration demanding regularisation of services and disbursement of ‘withheld salaries’. The protesting employees told INS that they have been “forced by callous attitude of authorities”, to come on streets against, what they called as “injustice”. The employees claimed that from past several months they have not been paid their wages.

“We are 42 HDF employees working in SDH Sopore and a cruel joke is being played with us,” Javed Ahmad, one of the protesting employee said.
Claiming that their families are suffering, protesters said that they are not able to meet their family expenses and have gone ‘bankrupt’.

“How are we going to feed our children, meet our family expenses. We are working day in, day out but why are we not being paid our due wages,” they said, while raising slogans against government.
President of ‘HDF Employees J&K’ Nissar Ahmed said that they are facing immense hardships as they are not able to support their families and cannot meet daily needs.

“We are not able to understand why they are not releasing our our salary and why government is not serious to regularize us, Nissar said.
