Acknowledging the university’s growing impact on the region’s agrarian sector, LG Sinha highlighted SKUAST-Jammu’s pivotal role in revitalizing the agricultural economy of Jammu and Kashmir. He said the institution is not only helping to boost farm productivity but also ensuring that modern agricultural practices reach grassroots communities.

“The university is playing a transformative role by equipping the youth with skill-based education and empowering the farming community through its progressive research and extension services,” the Lieutenant Governor told reporters in Jammu.

He also emphasized the importance of aligning agricultural education with emerging technologies and market demands, noting that such efforts are essential for creating employment opportunities and fostering sustainable rural development. (KNT)
