Srinagar, Aug 26: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday greeted the people on the eve of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW).

In his message, the Lt Governor said “Heartfelt greetings and best wishes to everyone on the auspicious occasion of Milad-un-Nabi. The life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad remain an eternal beacon of peace, equality, and compassion for all humankind.”

“On this sacred day, let us pledge to live by his values of love, kindness, and universal brotherhood and work together to foster a more harmonious, inclusive and united society. Eid Mubarak!”, LG said.

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also extended warm greetings to the people of Jammu & Kashmir on the sacred occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW).

Emphasising the Prophet Muhammad’s (SAW) timeless message of peace, compassion, and brotherhood, the Chief Minister prayed for lasting peace, prosperity, and communal harmony in Jammu & Kashmir.

Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone, V.K. Birdi also extended warm greetings to the people on the eve of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW).

In a message posted on X by Kashmir Zone Police, the IGP said, “IGP Kashmir extends greetings on the eve of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW). May this auspicious occasion usher in tranquility, unity, and peace throughout the valley.”

The IGP prayed for peace, harmony and brotherhood in the valley on the auspicious occasion.

Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW), marking the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), is being celebrated with religious fervour and devotion across Jammu and Kashmir, with special prayers being offered in mosques and shrines.
