Srinagar, Aug 15: The inhabitants of Zakura locality in Srinagar here have complained of facing severe disruption in mobile and internet services as BSNL network has been down since last week.
For the past 7 days, BSNL users in the area have been able to make only “Emergency Calls Only” with no voice, data, or SMS services working. Students attending online classes, shopkeepers doing digital payments, and patients trying to contact doctors have all been badly affected.
Locals allege that despite multiple complaints to the department, there has been no resolution or update from BSNL officials so far.
“We are completely cut off. In case of any emergency we cannot even call our family. BSNL needs to fix this on priority,” said Farooq Bhat, a senior Journalist and resident of Zakura.
The residents have appealed to the higher authorities of BSNL J&K Circle and the District Administration to restore services immediately.
