The programme was coordinated by Arsalan Ul Haq, Head – Public Relations (PR), Jammu & Kashmir, and witnessed an overwhelming response from youth and young volunteers, who actively participated by signing the pledge forms, sharing their valuable suggestions, and committing themselves to the fight against drug and alcohol abuse.

The participants pledged to spread awareness within their communities and work collectively towards building a drug-free and healthy society.

As a symbolic gesture promoting the importance of education, awareness, and informed decision-making, every participant who signed the pledge and committed to standing against drug and alcohol abuse was presented with a pen by the Nationalist Youth Congress.

The pen was distributed as a token of knowledge and responsibility, symbolising that education and awareness are the strongest weapons against addiction.

The event was attended by the SHO Rajbagh, who appreciated the initiative and encouraged the youth to continue playing an active role in safeguarding society from the growing menace of substance abuse. He acknowledged the importance of collective efforts by citizens, youth organisations, and law enforcement agencies in addressing this challenge.

Speaking on the occasion, Vineet Raina, State General Secretary, Nationalist Youth Congress (NCP), appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the youth and stated that the signature campaign is not merely an event but the beginning of a mass awareness movement that will continue across Jammu & Kashmir. He thanked all participants, volunteers, supporters, and the PR team for making the initiative a success.
