Army’s Cheetah helicopter crashes near Leh; Major General among 3 injured

Leh, May 23: Three officers including a Major General were injured after an Indian Army Cheetah helicopter crashed in the Tangtse region near Leh.

Three officers, including a Major General, were fortunate to survive the crash. The incident occurred on Wednesday but was reported yesterday.

A Lieutenant Colonel and a Major were piloting the single-engine helicopter, while the passenger onboard was Major General Sachin Mehta, General Officer Commanding of the 3 Infantry Division.
