Pampore, May 22: Marking a new chapter in strengthening trader representation at the grassroots level, Pampore Traders Federation Friday formally joined the Kashmir Traders & Manufacturers Federation (KTMF) during an impressive oath-taking ceremony held in Pampore. The event witnessed participation from traders, office bearers and representatives from various trade bodies reflecting a spirit of unity and collective commitment.
During the ceremony, Abdul Majeed who was recently elected as President of the Pampore Traders Federation formally took oath of office along with members of the newly elected body. The oath was administered in the presence of office bearers and members who reaffirmed their commitment to work for the welfare and upliftment of the trader fraternity.
KTMF attended the function as special invitees. Acting on the directions of KTMF President Mohammad Yaseen Khan a delegation of the federation visited Pampore to participate in the ceremony and extend support to the newly elected leadership. The delegation included Bashir Ahmad Rather, Qazi Tauseef, Lateef Ahmad Sofi, Sheikh Abdul Rashid, Muzaffar Ahmad Jan, Rouf Ahmad Reshi (General Secretary, Traders Federation Pulwama), Haji Wali Mohammad Mir (Chief Patron, Traders Federation Pulwama), Bashir Ahmad Chat (Senior Member Traders Federation Pulwama) and Riyaz Ahmad Bhat (Senior Member Traders Federation Pulwama).
Addressing the gathering, senior KTMF leader Bashir Ahmad Rather underscored the importance of unity among traders and emphasized that stronger federations play a crucial role in safeguarding the interests of the business community. He congratulated the newly elected body and wished them success in their future endeavors.
Speaking on the occasion, General Secretary Traders Federation Pulwama Rouf Ahmad Reshi highlighted KTMF’s role in consistently advocating issues concerning traders with the government, financial institutions and other concerned agencies. He said KTMF has remained at the forefront in raising issues affecting trade and commerce and ensuring effective representation of the business community.
Meanwhile, Abdul Majeed President Pampore Traders Federation thanked the KTMF leadership for attending the ceremony and said the visit would further strengthen relations between local trade bodies and the apex traders’ federation. The gathering concluded with a collective resolve to work in close coordination for addressing the concerns of traders and further strengthening unity within the business community across Kashmir.
