As part of this ongoing campaign, the Food Safety Officer (FSO) for Zone 1 conducted comprehensive inspections of various bakery shops located on Residency Road, Srinagar.

During the drive, the FSO closely evaluated the hygiene standards, ingredient quality, and overall cleanliness of the establishments.

Alongside enforcement, the inspection focused heavily on education: Good Storage Practices: Bakers were instructed on the proper segregation, temperature control, and storage of raw materials and finished products to prevent contamination.

Sanitary Conditions: The concerned FSO imparted short, on-the-spot awareness sessions emphasizing the critical importance of maintaining high sanitary conditions within the business premises.

Food business operators were warned of strict legal action under the Food Safety and Standards Act if they fail to comply with the prescribed regulations. Officials reiterated that these surprise drives will continue across the city to ensure consumers have access to safe and wholesome food.
