Teetwal, Apr 22: In a first, an event of Adi ashtkam, was performed at Sharda Temple LoC Teetwal Kashmir by a group of bharatnatyam dancers led by Usha RK.

The event was organised by save sharda Committee Kashmir Regd in collaboration with district administration Kupwara & civil society after successfully organising it a Tagore hall Srinagar a day before.

The artists who had come from different cities of country reached last village at LoC to pay reverence to jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya before Goddess sharda at Sharda temple.

The function was presided over by Mumtaz Peerzada Assistant Commissioner Revenue Kupwara alongwith Mohd Amin Bhat Tehsildar in presence of a large audience.

Ravinder Pandita welcomed the troupe while Ajaz Khan presented vote of thanks. This was the first of its kind performance in the last village of India right on LoC.
