New Delhi, Mar 25: The government on Tuesday dismissed reports claiming revised timelines for LPG refill bookings, terming them misleading and baseless.

In an official clarification issued by the Press Information Bureau (PIB), authorities said that certain news reports and social media posts had incorrectly suggested new refill intervals—45 days for PMUY connections, 25 days for non-PMUY single bottle connections, and 35 days for non-PMUY double bottle connections.

“The claims are incorrect. No changes have been made to the existing LPG refill booking timelines,” the statement said.

As per the current norms, the refill booking period remains 25 days in urban areas and 45 days in rural areas, irrespective of the type of LPG connection.

The government urged citizens not to believe or circulate such misinformation, cautioning against panic booking of LPG cylinders.

Reassuring the public, officials reiterated that there is adequate availability of LPG stocks across the country and there is no need for concern.
