Srinagar, Jan 31: The fresh Western Disturbance (WD) is set to affect Jammu and Kashmir from February 03 and would likely bring light to moderate snow in Jammu and Kashmir

As per an Independent Weather Forecaster, there will be no snowfall in plains till 02 February while light snow & rain is expected on tomorrow at some parts of J&K.

Predominantly dry to cloudy conditions expected across J&K till 02 February, he said.

A Weak Western Disturbance likely tomorrow, triggering light rain/snow over higher reaches and isolated parts of South Kashmir by evening/night.

Plains to largely remain dry during this phase due to very weak weather system, however south Kashmir plains can see light snow/rain on tomorrow evening/night (55% chances), other plains probability stands at 35%.

02 February: Mostly dry weather to prevail.

Then A fresh Western Disturbance (light to moderate intensity) may approach late 02 Feb night, with chances of rain/snow over plains and higher reaches on 03 February.

04–10 February: No significant Weather activity indicated; extended dry spell likely.
